Warranty Overview

GATORZ Eyewear is built for performance, durability, and protection. We stand behind the quality of our products and are committed to ensuring that every customer receives eyewear that meets our standards of craftsmanship and reliability.

This Warranty Policy covers manufacturing defects in GATORZ eyewear frames and lenses under normal and intended use, subject to the terms and conditions outlined below.

Frame Lifetime Warranty

GATORZ Eyewear frames are covered by a Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects.

This Warranty Policy covers only manufacturing defects in GATORZ eyewear frames and lenses used under Normal and Intended Use, as defined below, and subject to the terms and conditions of this Warranty Policy.

Normal and Intended Use means use of the product in accordance with GATORZ's instructions, care guidelines, and specifications.

GATORZ Eyewear frames are covered by a limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects for the reasonable service life of the product under Normal and Intended Use.

Examples of manufacturing defects may include:

  • Defective frame material or structural failure caused by a manufacturing issue.
  • Faulty hinges, welds, or frame components due to workmanship defects.
  • Abnormal frame failure not caused by misuse, impact, modification, or normal wear and tear.

If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed, GATORZ's sole and exclusive obligation, and the customer's sole and exclusive remedy, is at GATORZ's option to: (a) repair the product; (b) replace the defective product or component with the same model or a functionally equivalent model/component; or (c) provide an equivalent remedy of equal or greater value (excluding cash refunds).

This warranty applies only to the original end-user purchaser and is not transferable.

Lens 2-Year Warranty

GATORZ Eyewear lenses are covered by a limited 2-Year Warranty against manufacturing defects, beginning on the original retail purchase date shown on valid Proof of Purchase, for the original end-user purchaser only and not transferable.

This warranty applies only to defects in lens materials, coatings, or workmanship that are determined to be the result of a manufacturing issue.

Examples of lens manufacturing defects may include:

  • Coating defects not caused by improper cleaning, chemical exposure, or abrasion.
  • Lens delamination due to manufacturing issues.
  • Abnormal optical distortion caused by a production defect.

If a covered manufacturing defect is confirmed, GATORZ's sole and exclusive obligation, and the customer's sole and exclusive remedy, is at GATORZ's option to: (a) repair the product; (b) replace the defective product or component with the same model or a functionally equivalent model/component; or (c) provide an equivalent remedy of equal or greater value (excluding cash refunds).

What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not apply where any excluded condition contributed to the damage, whether alone or in combination with a manufacturing defect. This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

  • Normal wear and tear (e.g. color deterioration) from regular use over time, including accelerated wear from commercial use.
  • Scratches on lenses from use, storage, cleaning, or handling.
  • Abrasions, coating wear, fogging, or cosmetic changes.
  • Damage, impact, crushing, dropping, or bending.
  • Misuse, abuse, negligence, or improper care.
  • Unauthorized repair, alteration, modification, or customization.
  • Exposure to chemicals, solvents, excessive heat, saltwater corrosion, or harsh environments beyond normal use, including but not limited to de-icing agents, sunscreen, insect repellent, ammonia or alcohol-based cleaners, saltwater immersion, and prolonged UV or heat exposure.
  • Loss, theft, or cosmetic changes that do not affect product performance.
  • Damage to accessories, packaging, cases, straps, or cleaning cloths.
  • Products purchased from unauthorized sellers, second hand marketplaces, or without valid Proof of Purchase. Counterfeit products.
  • Damage from impact, crushing, flying fragments, high-speed projectiles, ballistic events, or misuse.

The warranty does not apply to prescription lenses, aftermarket lenses, third-party lens installations, or any non-GATORZ components unless otherwise stated in writing by GATORZ. The installation, use, or combination with non-GATORZ components (including third-party lenses, coatings, or modifications) voids coverage unless otherwise stated in writing by GATORZ.

Proof of Purchase

To make a warranty claim, customers must provide valid proof of purchase from GATORZ or an authorized GATORZ dealer.

Acceptable proof of purchase may include:

  • Original receipt.
  • Online order confirmation.
  • Invoice from an authorized dealer.
  • Other documentation that GATORZ, in its reasonable discretion, deems sufficient to verify authenticity, purchase date, and original purchaser, which may include serial number or order number verification.

Warranty coverage begins from the original date of purchase. GATORZ may deny claims that cannot be verified through its records or where documentation is incomplete, altered, or inconsistent.

Warranty Claim Process

To submit a warranty claim, please fill in the Warranty Form. Your claim should include the following information:

  • Customer name and contact information.
  • Product model and lens type, if known.
  • Proof of purchase.
  • Description of the issue.
  • Clear photos of the product and the alleged defect.

GATORZ may request that the product be returned for inspection before approving a warranty claim. Please do not send any product until our team asks you to. Title and risk of loss for products shipped to GATORZ remain with the customer until receipt by GATORZ.

Inspection and Approval

All warranty claims are subject to inspection and verification by GATORZ or its authorized representative.

GATORZ may request the product be returned for physical inspection, in which case the customer is responsible for outbound shipping to GATORZ, unless otherwise required by local law. If, after inspection, the issue is covered, GATORZ will proceed with the applicable remedy; if not covered, GATORZ may offer a paid repair or replacement, subject to availability.

If the customer does not respond to GATORZ communications or does not pay any applicable costs within 60 days of notice, the product may be deemed abandoned and disposed of without liability.

Replacement Product

Replacement products or parts may be the same model, a comparable model, a different color, or a functionally equivalent product or component. Cosmetic differences may exist, and availability is not guaranteed.

Replacement under warranty does not extend, renew or restart the original warranty period. The original purchase date remains the start date.

Shipping and Handling

Unless otherwise required by applicable law or stated by GATORZ in writing, customers are responsible for shipping and insurance costs to send products for warranty inspection.

GATORZ will cover reasonable ground return shipping for approved warranty claims within the same country/region. Customers must package products securely; GATORZ is not responsible for loss or damage in transit to GATORZ.

Limitation of Warranty

This limited warranty provides specific legal rights and is the sole and exclusive warranty for the product. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GATORZ DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE. To the maximum extent permitted by law, GATORZ is not responsible for any indirect, special, incidental, exemplary, or consequential damages, including loss of use, loss of profits, or diminution in value, arising out of or related to the product or its use.

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages; in such cases, the above limitations or exclusions may not apply, and you may have additional rights that vary by jurisdiction.

Final Decision

GATORZ will make the final determination on all warranty claims after inspection and evaluation of the product, acting reasonably and in good faith and in compliance with applicable law.

This policy may be updated from time to time without prior notice. The applicable warranty policy will be based on the terms in effect at the time of purchase, unless otherwise required by law. Updates will not reduce statutory rights or shorten existing warranty periods for products already purchased.

Governing Law

This Warranty Policy is governed by the laws of the country in which the product was purchased, to the extent permitted by applicable law. Nothing in this Warranty Policy limits any rights you may have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of that country.
